Terms of service

You must be at least 18. Keep your sign-in details private; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.

You describe a short clip (optionally with a reference image), an AI model renders it, and we turn it into a gif you can keep, edit and share. Generation is powered by third-party AI providers; your prompt and any reference image are sent to them to produce the clip.

AI output is unpredictable. We don’t promise any particular result, and generated content may be inaccurate, odd, or unsuitable.

You own the gifs you make, to the extent the law allows for AI-generated work, and you own anything you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, encode, display and distribute your content as needed to run the service — including serving it at share links you create.

Public gifs are remixable. When you make a gif public, you grant every other user of the service a licence to remix it — to trim it, loop it, add captions, and publish the result on the service with attribution back to yours. If you don’t want that, keep the gif private. Making a gif private later doesn’t withdraw remixes already made.

Public gifs carry a small whtvr mark. You may share, embed and post them anywhere.

Don’t use the service to create, upload or share content that:

• sexualises minors in any way, or depicts minors in any sexual context — this is reported to the authorities;
• depicts a real person in a sexual, violent or humiliating way without their consent, or otherwise harasses a real person;
• is sexually explicit;
• is graphically violent, promotes terrorism, or incites hatred against people for who they are;
• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• is illegal where you are or where we operate.

Don’t scrape the service, attack it, evade its limits or filters, resell access, or use it to train models. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, without notice.

Generation uses credits. Free accounts get a small allowance; Pro subscriptions and credit packs are sold through our payment partner, Polar, which acts as merchant of record and handles tax. Prices are shown before you pay.

A failed generation is refunded automatically. Otherwise credits are consumed when a generation starts and aren’t refundable, and unused credits have no cash value. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

If you believe content on the service infringes your rights or depicts you without consent, email info@whtvrgif.com with a link to the content and enough detail to identify you and the issue. We act on valid reports promptly, and on reports of non-consensual intimate imagery within 48 hours.

You can delete your gifs at any time and close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may change these terms; material changes will be announced on the service. Continued use after that means you accept them.
